• SMS messages are scanned and analyzed locally on your device using predefined financial keywords.
• Only messages identified as coming from recognized financial institutions (including sender name, date, and content) will be uploaded.
• Non-financial messages and any content related to personal privacy are filtered out and will never be uploaded to our servers.
• All data is securely transmitted via HTTPS to https://cloud.smoothcash.co.
• Uploaded SMS data is anonymized on the server (for example, removing personally identifiable information and retaining only essential financial fields for risk assessment).

Your Control:

You may choose to grant or deny the SMS permission. Denying this permission may affect your loan eligibility but will not impact your general access to the application.

2.2 Camera Permission

Purpose:

To capture ID photos and perform real-time facial recognition (liveness detection) for identity verification as required by KYC regulations.

Data Handling:

• Captured data is encrypted using AES-256.
• Automatically deleted after 90 days or upon user request.
• We never access other images or media on your device.

2.3 Emergency Contacts

Purpose:

To verify identity and assess loan eligibility.

How It Works:

• You manually input two contacts (name, relationship, and phone number).
• SmoothCash does not access your contact list or address book.
• Contact information is stored securely and used only for verification or recovery purposes.

2.4 Installed Apps Permission

Purpose:

To detect applications that may indicate financial activity or potential fraud, helping us improve credit evaluation and prevent abuse.

Data Collected:

• App name
• Whether it’s pre-installed
• Version code
• First install and last update time

Important Notes:

• Only a predefined whitelist/blacklist of apps is checked.
• Non-financial app data is ignored and never stored.
• All transmissions are encrypted via HTTPS.

2.5 Network & Device Information

Purpose:

To ensure secure login sessions, detect fraud, and analyze app performance.

Data Collected:

• IP address and network type
• Wi-Fi connection status
• Google Advertising ID (GAID)

Your Control:

You may disable ad personalization at any time:

Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

2.6 Location (approximate location)

Purpose:

We use your approximate location to confirm whether SmoothCash services are supported in your area, meet local compliance requirements, and prevent fraud or abnormal application behavior.

How We Use It:

• Only approximate (coarse) location is collected.
• Checked only during registration, login, or loan application.
• Never used for background tracking or precise GPS monitoring.
